Learning South Africa’s Rules of the Road is a vital part of getting your K53 Learners Licence. There are around 30 questions on Rules of the Road in the Learners Licence Test, and learners need to score 74% (22/30) or higher in the section in order to pass it. South Africa’s Rules of the Road may look like a lot to learn, but don’t worry, they’re not too bad once you get into “learners test” mode and get started. You probably know a lot of the rules already! (such as… don’t drive on the wrong side of the road!)
If you read 4 – 5 sections a day, you’ll be well on your way to your Learners Licence in no time! The Learners Test is not difficult, but it does require that you study.
These Rules of the Road were kindly provided by the Department of Transport, and are K53-compliant. If you make use of any other resources to study, make sure they comply with the K53 Learners Test rules before utilizing them. Remember, you are not just learning these rules to get your Learners Licence, but also to become a competent driver, so make sure you really understand them!
